The long flight almost over, he once again pulled the picture from his wallet, and gazed wistfully at the sweet face.

When the plane finally landed, he collected his luggage, and finally settled into a taxi,  thought again what he would say when they met.

Anxiously he searched his pockets for the small gift, unable to keep his shaking hands under control.

But now the taxi brought him to his destination and he had no more time to think about making a good impression, as he paid the driver and made his way inside.

And then the moment so long anticipated, his held his adopted daughter in his arms.
