I felt impervious to guilt

What I saw and what I said

about those three,

though you may think


was close to the truth.

It just got colored

in the telling.

Details to enhance

the tale

I thought not

of the harm I might bring.

Now, I  admit my guilt,

eat humble pie;

and suffer the pains of

    • It’s nice to have such a sweet welcome back. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about regret. Sometime harmless gossip isn’t so harmless. Before you go thinking that I’m an awful gossip, I’m not. That was just a piece of fiction, but is offered as a bit of advice. Take it or leave it, as you please.
