This week’s photo prompt is provided by Phylor. Thank you Phylor for our photo prompt!
Old Blue knew he could win this race. Hadn’t he won the one against Stepchild? Alright, that race was six years ago and Stepchild was an old nag, so it wasn’t even a challenge for him. But then after a few more races Blue had been retired. For the past few years he had lived a life of ease. Too easy. He ate well and played with the other fillies, though never forgetting his true calling. He missed the old days down at the track, yearned to be back in the race.
So here was a chance to prove he still had the winning streak. He waited for the signal.
This is cute! I love it! Blue knows he can win the race — if only they would give him the chance. LOL! Great story!
Thanks for your support of Blue. Hopefully he can win!
Maybe he will get his chance and win, then live out his life feeling proud. Wonderful story. 🙂
I always did like to root for the underdog.
What a great analogy for life! We all feel we have it left in us – even when other people think we should be put out to grass! Lovely take on the prompt.
Thanks for seeing more to this than I envisioned.
My pleasure. A great read 🙂
I like his confidence.

Even though it is a little exaggerated.
I really like this story! Confidence in ourselves–even when others aren’t helping to build us up–is very important but not easy to maintain. Great job
Thanks for the insight. A outlook always gives a competitor the edge.
Aww, and I am rooting for old blue too 😄
Aww, thanks!
I hope they give Blue a chance.
Thanks, Jacque. Nice to hear from you again.
