“Isn’t Keeping Time a misnomer for your title, Jessie?” Mark asked. “How can you keep it? Time I mean. Even the moment I asked that question is gone. Maybe spending time would make more sense.”
“You’re wasting my time with this line of thinking,” Jessie said. Why don’t you go spend your time away from me?”
“Maybe wasting time would be better,” Mark said. “Write about abusing your gift of time.”
“I’ll abuse you if you don’t leave. Now.”
“I’m going–I’m going. Wouldn’t want to keep you from your writing. Heh! Why don’t you write about Keeping Time?” Mark dodged the hurled notebook as he hurried out the door.

Nice wordplay. Based on real life? Nice work.
Well, I have to admit to wasting time. Don’t have any excuses. Wish I could save time though. (One of my favorite old songs was “If I Could Keep Time in a Bottle.”)
Hahaha! Cute story and great play on words!
Thanks. I just began writing and it poured out. I did spend a bit of time editing, though. 🙂
Clever. Nicely done.
Thanks for the nice comment.
Time is strange, I love the invention of your story
Thanks, Michael
Great wordplay. 🙂 I think spending any time writing would be difficult if you had to put up with someone like that!
That could well have been his alter ego interrupting, Aren’t we our own worst critic> Thanks for the comment.
